4 Reasons why a vending machine would be great for your business or facility
Deciding whether or not to host a vending machine at your business or facility can be a confusing choice to make. Will it be worth the effort to get it installed? Will it be worth the cost? Here are a few reasons why it can be beneficial, and why your business is probably a good candidate for a vending machine.
1) It’s a treat to employees. Employee satisfaction at the workplace can make a big difference in the performance and success of your business. By having a vending machine in the lunch room, you show gratitude and care for your employees. Now, if they’re hungry on their break, they can have a treat! Better yet, if they forgot to bring a lunch, they can still snack on something.
2) Vending machines increase productivity. If your employees had to leave every time they wanted a coffee, or something to eat, you’d find those “breaks” taking up a huge chunk of their day. Imagine just the line up waiting times at the restaurants, not to mention the time spent waiting for food to be prepared. Then they’ve got to eat the food before they can fully concentrate on their work again (even if they did eat at their desk). A vending machine can offer an alternative to leaving the work location (especially when workers are not supervised every minute of every hour). They also provide food at lower costs.
3) They keep customers around. If your business location is a car dealership, computer store, or a shop where people need to take time before making a final decision to buy from you, the last thing you want is for them to leave and “promise” to come back. The longer someone stays in your store, the more likely they are to buy, and the more opportunity you will have to convince them. In case they get hungry, or their kids start nagging, a vending machine will help stave off that craving for hopefully enough time for you to close the deal.
4) They make money. Of course, how could we forget? Vending machines are a great way to earn funds that can be used toward your employees or to help cover business operational costs. If going with a vending service company, the deal gets even better because you can cut out the cost of time to stock the machines and handle financial details. The vending service will install the machine, repair it when necessary, stock it regularly and simply deliver your portion of the commission earned. Since you probably hold staff Christmas parties anyway, now you can use the money from the vending machine to fund these activities and show even more appreciation to your employees. All you have to do is provide the small square of retail space to the vending operator.
